Scholarship

Dr. Tameka Bradley Hobbs

Scholarship has been a core part of my work during my time at Florida Memorial. I have worked to perfect my craft as a historian through my research and writing. The publication of my book, Democracy Abroad, Lynching at Home: Racial Violence in Florida by the University Press of Florida in 2015 was an important professional accomplishment. I’m proud of the recognition the work has received. I have been very active at professional conferences, which give me an opportunity to present my research and to learn about other developments in the field. Additionally, I have worked to identify grants to support my work and to bring resources to the University.
